Anniversary Pictures

My friend, Tammy, asked me to take pictures of her parents at their 50th Anniversary celebration. I am honored to have been ask. Just watching them and how they look at each other, it's easy to see why these two are celebrating 50 years together!

The Zoomobile

I took the kids to the Zoomobile today. We got to see an owl, a chinchilla, a Solomon Skink, Madacascar Hissing Cockroaches, and an armadillo. Gavin couldn't wait to touch the "chicken wa wa" He must have asked 20 times if he could go touch it now.

Playing with Software . . . again :)

So this picture isn't the best, but I was trying out the effect. I think I like this one - could be kind of fun.

What is the best software??

I currently have Adobe Photoshop Elements 7 on my computer. I am trying to decide if it is worth getting a book to actually figure out how to use it to it's fullest, or if I should use something else. I have been playing around with a trial of Lightroom 3. Photoshop Cs5 is not in my budget right now. So if you had to choose between what I already have or Lightroom 3, what would the choice be??

Playing with Color

I took some outside pictures the other day and was playing around with software adjusting the color of the sky and the leaves.

Summer Softball

So last night Chloe had her first softball game. I had just read about "stopping the action" and using a fast shutter speed, so I was excited to actually get to try it. I FINALLY got some good action shots! This is something I have really been struggling with.

Experimenting with software

Getting Started

I love to take pictures! I use my daycare kids as my subject most of the time. I am just really getting into the details of HOW to take good pictures. I am no expert, but I'm hoping to be able to take some classes and read some books and figure out how to take better pictures. The goal is to keep improving :)
